I was looking through the current issue of FC last night. On page 126 is a purple shawl so I looked for the info on it and found the website.

In the Fall collection I found a Crochet Hug and the shawl.

 

In the shop on line I found an oversized dolman, more hugs, and another shawl.

 

Prices are high but it's 'designer' I guess. lol

I honestly didn't know Family Circle was a periodical. I have so many of their various craft and home improvement books (same as Woman's Weekly) yet I never knew they were a mag as well. Maybe we don't get it here? Who knows! I really only buy dedicated craft magazines so it might be there and I'm just not seeing it as I am not looking for it.

 

This website is taking ages to load and I wanna know what on earth a "dolman" is and am too slack to look it up on dictionary.com so I guess I will just sit out the wait for the page to load

I really don't know since you're not in the US. Here both it and Woman's Day are monthly magazines for woman but not like Cosmo or Elle.

They have meals, decorating, some times crafts, holiday things, some fashion, health, relationships, etc.

A dolman is full sleeve that is very wide at the armhole and narrow at the wrist.

 

So that it's slow loading for you. Must be your connection. It loads right up for me.

Sounds like Womans Day (get this, it's weekly! and Womans Weekly comes out monthly ) and numerous other woman's mags. I get what you're saying about Cleo etc. They're more... fashion mags? Not sure what the correct genre would be but that's where I'd put them.

 

The dolmans loaded and I really like them. I'm surprised I've never heard the term before, but I'm not really into fashions. Oh, I should have added I have dial up!! So everything is pretty slow I have no patience either, so of course that doesn't help.
