Dickie for 2yr old?

I would like to make a dickie (?) for my friends 2yr old. Something to cover her neck, chest and back but something that she wont have to worry will become unbound like a scarf. I cant seem to find a pattern online, does anyone know what Im talking about?

Could you start a turtle neck or mock turtle neck, and then just stop before you have to do shoulders or anything?

Just ch like 11 s cin second ch and in each across turn ch1 (the ch1 doesn't count as a stitch)sc in back loop of each turn ch1 sc in front loop Continue until this fits around the neck then slip stitch the ends together.I'm just using the ch 11 as an example whatever amount gives you the width you want.The bakc loops and front loops gives a ribbed look. if you don't want that leave it off.
