news boy cap

I'm reposting these pictures with a different title, and i'll explain why. I think the title i had before was turning people off, and i really want people to see this. I searched high and low on the net, and at yarn shops for a news boy cap to make for my daughter, and could not find anything! I had to make my own pattern, and i'm so glad i did. She has gotten so many compliments on this one. I didn't write down the pattern, but it was pretty simple. I basically made a berret, which it is really easy to find patterns for, and then i added the bill. You have to play around a bit to get the right look, and to make the bill sturdy, when hooking in i crocheted around the entire single crochet on the previous row, not just the top chain, and it worked.
