Brown?

What colors would I have to mix together to get brown? Orange and green? Red and Green? Does ANYONE know?

tested for you with the crayons of my little daugther: red and green.

Duh! Of Course test with CRAYONS! ..Thanks so much for your help! Actually thanks to all of you for helping me out here, now I just have to fiddle around with it for a bit to get the brown I want! I love Crochetville.....everyone is sooooo helpful!

If you're using Kool-aid purple & yellow make a maroonish brown.

No, can't use Kool aid to dye cotton thread, not sure why, but the others have told me so and I believe 'em!.....thanks anyway... But I will remember your suggestion for when I am dying wool!
