Enlarging a pattern

I want to make this bag but I want to make it bigger than the pattern calls for http://cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/50961.html .

 

I know with blankets and other things it can often say "multiple of 3 + 2" for example, and then I know, but does anyone know how I can do it with this?

Looks like it's just straight sc, so no "multiples" are involved. You can just add chains in the beginning to add stitches.

 

You might have to play with the mesh panel, though.

 

This is a nice little bag! I should go through their site again and see what's new.

Thanks Suebee! I wasn't sure with sc if it would be an issue. My husband and I play disc golf, and he wants a bag to carry his discs in. This looks perfect, just a little small.

 

Also, if I use two strands of yarn, will that make it stronger? Discs can be a little heavy (when you carry as many as my hubby!).

If you're afraid of stretching then you should line the bag, that should take care of that.
