Help please!! Looking for an edging

*Dee*

Question

I am crocheting a baby blanket for a co-worker. Christina is having a baby

girl and I am using pastel colored yarn (pink, green, yellow, blue, lavendar

and white) in a fan stitch. I would like to make a ruffle border/edging for

it ... and I can't find a pattern anywhere! :shrug I have searched my

crochet 'library' :book (a rather large one at that) and have searched the

sites with no luck. :ccompute

Does anyone have a pattern to share or thoughts where I could look?

Many thanks in advance!!

Okay I have an idea if you work around the blanket as though you were making a ruffle scarf it would look like a ruffle I think. I would do it like this...

Row 1) single crochet evenly around blanket (add extra stiches at corners so they will lay flat) join turn

row 2) ch three work 1 dbl in same st as join work 2 dbl in each stich around

that should give you a ruffle if you want the ruffle longer

row 3) work 2 dbls in first stitch then one in next stitch alternating around

I hope you understand this, I have no idea how to write a pattern:think . I also hope this is what you were looking for:D
