I need help sewing an item up

Hi everyone, I am wanting opinions on the best way to sew an item up. I am making a hoodie for my friends baby and I am never happy with the sewing up of the seams. I always match up the pieces that are supposed to match, but am not certain what stitch to use. Any ideas??????

Hi Sam, I never sew anything, I always slip stitch everything together.

Hi Sam you can crochet together with slip stitch if you hate sewing like me ,or you line and pin your peices and whip stich them together.
