it could be you are missing the stitch at the end of the row. you need to count the number of stitches and check you have the number needed. missing the end stitch will result in a sloping problem :hook

It looks like you are doing the ridge stitch. It's very important to count here. I've been crocheting for 36 years and I still occasionally end up with slanted rows when doing this stitch. Count, count, count!
