I do the same thing but "fold" the wrapper first. As it tries to unfold itself, it becomes bigger than the hole. Thus, it stays inside the cardboard roll. So far, I haven't lost a single wrapper.

 

I've been doing that for years. I also like the other ideas of writing the size inside the ball or on a sticker. It's a good back up in case anything happens t the label. Don't know why I never thought of that.

Great ideas! I never even thought of using the CD spindles! My hubby has a few around in his office. I may have to sneal one or two! (Sneal is kinda like sneak and steal together! ). I usually use size 10 which as my earlier post today proves that is not always the way to go, but anyhoo, I usually stuff the plastic back in the tube. And I didin't know what a fairy light was, but that is a good idea too. The ideas here are all really good ones.
