tension?

No...I don't mean being tense from trying to frog fun fur. I am talking about keeping my stitches even. *sighs* I crochet really really loosely. Do any of you have any tricks to help keep your stitches even?

 

I am working up a few "Un-named scarves" to use up some yarn I have in my stash...I love the way it looks. It is such a cool scarf pattern, but my stitches are so loose.

 

Any help would make me very happy!

Just keep trying smaller hooks until you find the one that makes the look you want. Then make a note of the yarn , the hook size & the stitch you did.

 

You may need to look at how you are holding your yarn too as that can make a big difference.

 

I dont mind a scarf which is loosly worked as they usually drape nicely.

Do you wrap your thread/yarn around your pinky? This may give enough tension so that your stitches are a bit tighter?
