I got my first wheel!!!

Got her today along with some pretty brown coopworth to start out on. pics are on my blog. can't wait till after dinner to break her in!

Your new whell is terrific i used to use one back when i first started the upright wheels are so handy to take with you. The darker wool you have beside it is the colour i was spinning of a cross bred marino i still have 500 grams left to spin so that hopfefully i will make my DH a jumper in the winter here.You enjoy your wheel for many years to come.

Thanks gals! I'm really loving her! Hubby is a little perturbed I managed to spin almost half my roving in one evening! But it really started looking good once i tried doing it left-handed. I'm right-handed but I shoot left handed and apparently spin left handed too. It looked horrible before I switched hands. BAD! BAD! BAD! I'll share some pics of my handspun on my blog soon.

Sherri do you mean a drop spindle ? What have you been spinning and have you made much from your own stuff yet? What fibres are you working on?
