Round Ripple

Oh, sorry, Sprtsbear. I lost my whole train of thought after seeing that little angel. I usually make my round ripples anywhere from 40 to 48" in diameter. I know that may sound large, but you have to remember, you don't have the corners of a traditional square blanket, so I make them a little larger for "wrapping" the precious bundle.

Here are the changes I make. I use Simply Soft (worsted weight) yarn and an H or an I hook. (Depends on the yarn and my mood. :lol Also, Round 3 (in my opinion) should read like this:

 

rnd 3: Ch 3, *skip 1 st, 1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc in SAME st. repeat from * ending with 1 dc in base of ch 3, ch 2, sl st in top of ch 3.

 

For my last row, I do single crochet instead of double and do three sc in the points. Of course some people add picots or shells...
