after youve crocheted???

when you guys have crocheted anything usually clothing, do you wash it straight after ? do you lightly iron it??

im asking as i have just finished a shawl made with worsted weight yarn and it needs pulling down at the bottom what should i do???

I don't do anything, but a lot of people "block" stuff like that...get it wet and either pin it in the shape you want it on a special board or clean carpet.

i block shawls if they need it ..
