Floating yarn up sides

When changing colours every two rows and floating yarn up the side I find it is on right side of my work. Is this normal? I am changing colours at last yarn over of last stitch

The tails all being on the same side of the blanket is the only thing that can happen with an even # of rows in a stripe.  If you make 2 rows, you are always starting with a beginning yarn tail on side A, turning on side B, and returning to side A leaving the ending tail also on side A, and side B with no tails.

If you don't want this to happen, you need an odd # of rows.
