Pattern adjusting

Welcome to the 'ville!  The hook size gives me a hint that your yarn is probably US weight 1 or 2 (sock or sport/baby weight).  Some of the below aren't strictly mesh, but openwork.  Note, I did a search on yarn weight not hook, but the hook size on the yarn ball is a suggestion, you'll need to swatch with maybe more than 1 hook to match the pattern gauge given.

https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sweater-with-short-sleeves  this looks more like a 'recipe' at first glance, would work for any  size you'd just need to do a little measuring of the 7 year old.

https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/angles-tunic-child-youth  seems long but I imagine you could tweak that

https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/29-35-girls-camisole  only 1 size, this and the 1 sized ones below might be able to adjust with bigger hook

Hi Welcome  to Crochetville from the Gulf Coast of Florida.

Grab your yarn and hooks, put your feet up and sit a spell.

We are always so glad to meet new friends.😁
