Knitted Doily

I've never knitted a doily, but what fun! This is an easy beginner project. I used Lily Baby Yarn on #3 needles. Pattern is Aunt Lydia's Knit Flower.

That's lovely!  I've knitted a coupe of things in the round center out, but with aran weight yarn, and lots of socks with sock weight yarn.  BUT I just couldn't handle starting the thread center of a doily with the tiny needles.  I've thought about crocheting the first few rounds and picking up stitches to knit, but...sticking with my steel hooks for doilies for now.

Not gonna lie Gran. The first round is sc, then pick up the stitches on dpn's. Saved the aggravation.
