Wool Blend Substitution for Vanna Style Yarn

PattiJacks

Question

I hope I'm posting this in the right forum.  I was wondering if someone might have a good wool blend substitute (preferably washable) for Vanna Style yarn (dk).  I've found a cardigan pattern I would like to try, but I'd like a wool blend for the extra warmth.  I'm wondering if the Plymouth Yarn Encore or King Cole Majestic might be good alternatives.

After doing a bit of research , it looks like the Plymouth Style yarn could be closer to a 4 weight yarn instead of DK weight. Maybe you would be interested in a Berroco- Vintage Dk ( 50% acrylic, 40%wool, 10% nylon, machine washable). I made scarves for grand kids out of this and they are still holding up and as pretty as when new. Hope this info helps.
