BED BUGS! Looking for someone who has "baked" yarn

I found a live bug in my apartment this morning and am mortified. Has anyone ever used a packtite or put their yarn in an oven to kill bed bugs before? I have mostly acrylic yarn, but have some hand-dyed super wash wool as well. What did you put your yarn in to bake it? Can I put my acrylic in without melting it?

I also have several amigurumi with polyester fiberfill in them and plastic safety eyes.

I am sooo sorry, would it be better to fumigate the yarn in a bag instead of bake since its wool?   All I can say is bummer, every crocheters nightmare!

You can't bake acrylic or plastic - they will melt. You might want to try freezing them.

I've read conflicting information about freezing. Some say it works, others say it only works if you have a commercial freezer that can go to -40F.

I don't know how efficient it would be but, the acrylic yarn skeins can be put in the clothes dryer in laundry bags. As far as freezing the critters out, that's a 18 month process according to some professional fiber artists.
