Looking for "how to design books"

Are there any books on learning to design your own crochet patterns? Not a book with patterns. Or on how to read a chart lol I can't seem to find any! ????

I'm not familiar with books on learning to design your own crochet patterns.  There are a couple of classes at craftsy.com that seem like they would help.  I've taken a few of their classes and always find them worthwhile.

For design books, what kind of patterns do you want to create?  

 

For working with diagrams, another site I like is on Annies https://www.anniescatalog.com/crochet/content.html?content_id=708&type_id=S&scat_id=3  It walks you  through a little doily pattern.

you can read the stitch pattern in words and see the diagram, so you can learn that way.
