RHSS to heavy for baby clothes?

Question

I have lots of Red heart yarn and wanted to use it up but wanted to get options on if you guys thing it maybe to heavy for baby clothes....

 

Example:

Angel Wing Dress I have been making calls for  Bernat Baby Sport & H hook....

if you want to use Super Saver you need to look for patterns that call for worsted weight yarn.  Baby Sport is very much lighter than RHSS.  

 

My opinion is that worsted wt for baby garments would be best in a jacket or other outerwear.

I'm of the same mindset as Magiccrochetfan.  I make myself winter pullover and cardigan sweaters in RHSS which are nice and warm, but I wouldn't consider using it to make a tank top/short sleeved summer sweater with it--too hot.  On the other hand, this little dress with a long sleeved shirt underneath might be nice for fall/winter (assuming the gauge works out to fit the target child, since you are using #2 weight not the required #4 weight).

 

edit -Sorry, I said that backwards, you're using #4 not #2 weight,
