Double crochet gap at join in snood

emmarockstar

Question

Hi everyone. I am currently working up a snood and following the pattern joining to the ch2 at the start of each round I've noticed I have massive gaps running up the seam. I normally don't join to the ch2 but as I've never made a snood before I was copying the pattern. Is there anyway of fixing the gaps at the end of the pattern or am I best starting over again (I'm just starting the hood and the gaps are at the front of the piece)

I don't know how to fix this problem, as I have the same happen on my totes.  The only thing I can think of is not using the ch2 in your count.  join in the next stitch.  but be sure to keep your count.  You may have to do the first stitch in with the ch2.

Try this on a piece of scrap yarn and see if that works.
