Help identifying a stitch

Hi everyone,

 

Could someone please help identify this stitch for me? My mum was making this blanket for my baby but sadly she died before she could finish it. I'd like to finish it for her but as a crochet novice I have no idea what I'm doing.

Sorry to hear that your mom passed.   

That is a lovely blanket, the colors go very well together. It looks to be just single crochet, so it should be easy to finish up. =)

Sorry about your mum! Hope you are able to finish the blanket. SC is easy so you shouldn't have any problem.

That might be hdc. 

 

I would try both sc and hdc with a totally separate skein and see which one looks closer to the original.
