Question
jlr917
Hi. I don't know if this is a ridiculous question. A friend asked me to crochet an afghan for her baby. She requested it be 34 x 46 inches. I'm not using a pattern, just alternating single and treble stitches. I thought I had right chain length at the beginning, but I must have made it too long, so now instead of being 34 inches wide, it's more like 45 inches. Stupidly, I didn't measure this out until I thought I was getting close to being done. I found that it is currently 45 inches wide and 30 inches high. So, I'm wondering if I can simply turn it. It is striped, so I'm wondering if it will be weird if the stitches, and stripes, go vertical instead of horizontal? Has anybody else done this?
