could be made into a shawl a`la the 'Pineapple Chair Set' into the 'Pineapple Shawl'?

 

How did the original Chair Set to Shawl creator come up with the idea anyway? Anyone know?

This could probably be made into a shawl just by using WW yarn and a larger hook, H or I or J. You may have to continue in the pattern for more rows but it could work.

It's lovely, but I think if you just used a larger hook and bulky yarn, you would end up with something that has really large holes. If that's the look you're going for, then that's okay. Myself, I might try it with a sport yarn and figure out a way to embellish after the pattern was done to make it a bit longer.

It would be helpful if the pattern had the finished size on it. Though it does have a gauge. I'm attempting it with a 4.5mm hook and 3 ply yarn.

Pretty!! I think it could be made into a shawl, but would probably need a repeat of the pineapples a couple of times and a bigger border to make it large enough...I am not good at doing stuff like that, but I know there is someone on here who could!!
