Vintage Pattern question

Recommended Posts

If the pattern is newer than the mid 1970s your great-great grandchildren will see the copyright run out.

If the pattern is older than the early 1920s, it's out of copyright. (there are specific years for both of these, the 1970s date is fixed, the 1920s date keeps moving forward, you can look them up online)

Anything in between, you'd need to research the copyright holder. Out of print doesn't mean out of copyright, and an existing new company may now own the rights of a defunct company.

You can sell the original printed matter, of course, but you can't make copies to sell if it's not out of copyright.
