Finding powder puff...

I am making the Kitchen Angel Towel Ring at this website http://hometown.aol.com/lffunt/kitchangel.htm

 

It calls for a velour powder puff to use as the face. I have checked Walmart but they only have large white ones. Have any of you made this? Where did you find the puffs? It is SOOOO adorable.

 

I guess I could sort of make my own from fabric wrapped around a cardboard ring...but I am kind of weird, I gotta search til I give up on the real thing first.

could you use the one that comes in the little compact face powder? Buy one at a dollar store or something and use the powder puff out of it.

Or use a few pieces of skin-colored felt, stacked together for depth.

I have seen them at Walgreens - with the cotton balls, make-up sponges, make-up brushes,etc. If you can't find the pinkish colored ones, how about applying a little face power and blush to a white one?
