Steampunk Slipper socks

A friend ordered these for herself.....she had found a pic of a slipper sock she liked on ebay, and came up with my own version in her choice of colors.....sorry, no pattern, I just 'winged it'.

I used this pattern as the base (foot and beginning anklet part)

Then I just added rounds to the top of the ankle with some increases in a couple rows to allow for the lower calf of the leg...in the second added round, I chained and skipped stitches to make the openings for the tie at intervals in that round. (I think did ch 5, sk 5)

 

I added a chain 3 picot to the top for the trim, and did the tie by chaining 76, then sc in the back bump of each st down the chain.

ETA: I used a G hook and Bernat Satin Sport yarn in red and black.
