Help with a pattern

I am working on a pattern that says 10 hdc, 2 hdc with on top........what is 2 hdc WITH ON TOP??? If anyone can help me that would be great thanks.

What pattern are you using? Are there any special instructions either near the beginning or at the end that may explain some 'different' stitches used within the pattern? What is the item you're making?
