color combonations

Does anyone know of a place that shows different color combos for granny squares? I am color challanged! Any help would be great, maybe is there a book that show-cases grannies?? What I am going to make is some sort of bag out of a big square.

There is a book called 200 Crochet Blocks for blankets, throws and afghans it's by Jan Eaton. It shows a ton of blows in great contemporary colors along with ways to change the look by changing the colors. It also shows how to mix some grannies together to create a cool look.

That's an excellent book - it has a bunch of granny squares and different color combos for each... as well as suggestions to combine the squares, too.

 

It's inspirational even if you're like me, and don't particularly like granny squares.

I suggest buying a color wheel. They can be found in the art section and the scrapbooking section. Then you can see what colors go together.
