question about felting

Recommended Posts

No, acrylic yarn will not work. The most popular choices for felting include yarns made from wool, mohair, alpaca, angora, or llama - or a combination of these.

Oh well Im trying it out anywho just to see how it works... It started to give a bit of a felted look.... maybe if I wash it enough times it will work lol I don't think I have any wool type yarns at all or animal fibers. When it's done washing I'll post a pic of how it looks anywho lol maybe I'll give it away as a prize in crochetville giveaway.

Unfortunately, it's not felted - that's just pilling from the acrylic material being agitated so roughly. It'll end up shedding pretty badly, most likely.

Pick up some natural fibers and I think you'll be hooked on the first project, though!
