beginners books

does any have any suggestions for some good crochet books. really, I'm more of a beginner, and I have problems with my works getting messed up. like a lot.

 

does anyone have any ideas? oh yeah, and I've bought lots of online patters that don't seem to add up at all.

 

I would love some beginners help here.

I have a really GREAT beginners crochet book published in 2006 titled The Easy Learn to Crochet in Just One Day. It has very clear illustrations for stitches as well as lessons on joining colors, finishing off and figuring out a gauge. It also has conversion charts for hook sizes and measurements. In the second part of the book are a bunch of patterns that are categorized as "easy". You might try looking at this book through your library or book store to see if it will help you.

Actually, look on YouTube. There are a lot of people demonstrating crochet stitches and other things. Good luck in learning this wonderful hobby.
