Yes, so I would wash on cold if you are worried about it, not hot. Don't wring it out, blot and press it dry with a towel. Then, you lay it out on a flat padded surface and press it into the shape it is suppose to be. When you get it into the right shape you will want to pin it down with rustproof pinds until it dries.

Oh dear.

 

I am making a horse ear net. I have the ears made and attached, now I am just finishing the rounded part going down the forhead. So that could be interesting for getting it into shape. What is blocking? I guess I should be prepared to make one larger???? :(:eek:blush:(

My understanding is that mercerised cotton won't shrink because it's been treated to be machine washable. It's like superwash for cotton.

 

I've made some face cloths in mercerised 8 ply cotton and they've been just fine in the wash.
