Crochet Coral Reef

We took dd to Washington DC this week for a day trip. Haven't been there in over 20 years, some things are the same and some are very different. Imagine my surprise when we got to the Natural History Museum. I hear my dd and dh say "Uh oh" at the same time. I followed their eyes to a big sign announcing the arrival of the Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef! I was ready to do the happy dance! I was a good mama though, and saved that for last so that my daughter could see the things she wanted first. It was soooo worth the wait!

Now that is awesome. I wish I had the time and/or patience to make a piece of art like that! Thank you for sharing!

That's only a small piece of it, there were 4 or 5 other cases but my computer is too slow to load the pics! It was just fabulous!

y'know, i actually clicked on your thread by accident--but I'm glad i did. I was very pleasantly surprised by your post.

 

last night I actually thought about crocheting all over this chair that I'm trying to work my way up into. I've been spending a lot of time on the floor recently because the spot where I sit is full of yarn. Not a bad situation necessarily...just ready to get up off the floor...
