YARN QUESTION PLEASE

Hi there! I'm wondering.....

One of my patterns calls for the yarn.... Caron "Sayelle", and Caron "Wintuk". What is the big difference between them? They feel the same to me, they're both 100% acrylic, and 4ply. But, I keep feeling them and thinking, why are they named differently if they basically feel the same. I'm no pro in yarn, thats why I'm so curious to hear what others say about this. Thank you SOOO much

To me they are just brand names for the acrylic itself, but I may be way off here. Sort of like you can call it 'wool' or merino, mohair, etc to be more specific.

perhaps they suggested a certain color in each that doesn't come in the other brand??? like, caron sayelle in cherry and caron wintuk in daffodil? KWIM?
