Umbrella strap

This is a crochet project I couldn't have imagined, but it was born today out of necessity. Going to a medieval festival tomorrow with rain being predicted, I was reminded of how annoying it is to carry around my umbrella in my hand the whole day! My small collapsible umbrella fits my bag... but my big white umbrella from France fits my outfit so much better.

 

The solution: This very very simple umbrella strap.

 

I made it from black 110m/50g cotton yarn: It's one chain with dc's all the way back up (except for a sc at the end), fastened to the umbrella just above the handle and at the top. Easy and matching the umbrella style

What a great idea! I hope you have fun at the medieval festival tomorrow. It's been a while since I've been to one but I do enjoy them. BTW, it's a beautiful umbrella.

Brilliant - I considered doing this one Sunday morning but had to get to church and then I didn't need it again. I love yours... totally wow.
