Materials:

Worsted Weight yarn (I use Red Heart Supersaver yarn)
Size H hook (5.00mm)
Yarn needle (to weave in ends)

Finish Size: 8”h x 8”w inches

Note: Beginning ch2 never counts as dc in pattern.

Directions:

Rnd 1: Ch5, join with sl st to first chain to form ring, ch3, 2 dc in ring, [ch3, 3 dc in ring] Do this 3 times, ch3, join with sl st to top of beginning ch3.
(12dc, 4-ch3 spaces) (Beginning ch3 counts as dc)

Rnd 2: Ch2, 1 dc in same st as joining, 1 dc in each of the next 2 sts, (2 dc, ch3, 2 dc) all in next ch3 space, [1 dc in each of the next 3 sts, (2 dc, ch3, 2 dc) all in next ch3 space] Do this 3 times, join with sl st to first dc.
(28dc, 4-ch3 spaces)

Rnd 3: Ch2, 1 dc in same st as joining, 1 dc in each of the next 4 sts, (2 dc, ch3, 2 dc) all in next ch3 space, [1 dc in each of the next 7 sts, (2 dc, ch3, 2 dc) all in next ch3 space] Do this 3 times, 1 dc in each of the next 2 sts, join with sl st to first dc.
(44dc, 4-ch3 spaces)

Rnd 4: Ch2, 1 dc in same st as joining, 1 dc in each of the next 6 sts, (2 dc, ch3, 2 dc) all in next ch3 space, [1 dc in each of the next 11 sts, (2 dc, ch3, 2 dc) all in next ch3 space] Do this 3 times, 1 dc in each of the next 4 sts, join with sl st to first dc.
(60dc, 4-ch3 spaces)

Rnd 5: Ch2, 1 dc in same st as joining, ch1, skip next st, 1 dc in each of the next 5 sts, ch1, skip next st, 1 dc in next st, 6 dc in next ch3 space, [1 dc in next st, ch1, skip next st, 1 dc in each of the next 5 sts, ch1, skip next st 1 dc in each of the next 5 sts, ch1, skip next st, 1 dc in next st, 6 dc in next ch3 space] Do this 3 times, 1 dc in next st, ch1, skip next st, 1 dc in each of the next 4 sts, join with sl st to first dc.
(72dc, 12-ch1 spaces)

Rnd 6: Ch2, 1 dc in same st as joining, 1 dc in next ch1 space, 1 dc in next st, ch1, skip next st, 1 dc in next st, ch1, skip next st, 1 dc in next st, 1 dc in next ch1 space, 1 dc in each of the next 3 sts, 2 dc in next st, [ch1, 2 dc in next st, 1 dc in each of the next 3 sts, 1 dc in next ch1 space, 1 dc in next st, ch1, skip next st, 1 dc in next st, ch1, skip next st, 1 dc in next st, 1 dc in next ch1 space, 1 dc in next st, ch1, skip next st, 1 dc in next st, ch1, skip next st, 1 dc in next st, 1 dc in next ch1 space, 1 dc in each of the next 3 sts, 2 dc in next st] Do this 3 times, ch1, 2 dc in next st, 1 dc in each of the next 3 sts, 1 dc in next ch1 space, 1 dc in next st, ch1, skip next st, 1 dc in next st, ch1, skip next st, join with sl st to first dc.
(76 dc, 16-ch1 spaces, 4-corner ch1 spaces)

Rnd 7: Ch1, 1 sc in same st as joining, 1 sc in each of the next 2 sts, 1 sc in next ch1 space, 1 sc in next st, 1 sc in next ch1 space, 1 sc in each of the next 7 sts, (2 sc, ch2, 2 sc) all in next corner ch1 space, [1 sc in each of the next 7 sts, 1 sc in next ch1 space, 1 sc in next st, 1 sc in next ch1 space, 1 sc in each of the next 3 sts, 1 sc in next ch1 space, 1 sc in next st, 1 sc in next ch1 space, 1 sc in each of the next 7 sts, (2 sc, ch2, 2 sc) all in next corner ch1 space] Do this 3 times, 1 sc in each of the next 7 sts, 1 sc in next ch1 space, 1 sc in next st, 1 sc in next ch1 space, join with sl st to first sc.
(108sc, 4-ch2 spaces)

Finish off and weave in ends.
