Can you believe this bag is going for $30, when it could be made with scrap yarn for a total of maybe $2.50 if you had to buy the black yarn to trim!!

I actually think it should sell for that much. There is a cost for labour, there is a profit for manufacturer/importer or wholesaler and the retailer needs to make something, too. If you take all that into consideration, $30.00 is not so much.

I agree that it should cost that much, but I'd much rather go the cheaper route and make my own :hook

Yeah, I agree they should be selling it for that much..just said I wouldn't pay that much because I KNOW how much yarn is involved! I would love to make the slippers...and they would probably cost less than $10 to make..no way I'm paying $39 for them!

I can't blame you for not spending it if you can make it. I would not either.

In any case, I see too few crocheted things in stores that I would actually want. There are a lot nicer patterns around. Ironically, it was a beautiful ( thread) poncho my daughter bought last year that got me interested in crocheting. I really want to take a picture of it.
