What is a shrug?

I HAVE BEEN READING MOST OF THE NIGHT ON THE DIFFERENT FORUMS. I HAVE SEEN TALK ABOUT A SHRUG.

HELP ME OUT.... EXACTLY WHAT IS A SHRUG?

It's sort of like a sweater, only it is very short. It's purpose is essentially to cover the arms and shoulders to keep the chill off, like if you're wearing a sleeveless top or dress.

I would describe a Shrug as a Hug with sleeves.

We call them Hug-me-tights.

Great to wear when you just want something to cover your arms but do not want to be bothered with a shawl slipping off your shoulders.

Some Shrugs are just a tube with cuffs, sewn up at the cuff ends to form sleeves, leaving a space for your body.

Others are a rectangle, folded and stitched, then sleeves and collar added. These look more like a cardigan when on. :hug

Well fashion calls things a little differently than they used to. The sleeves only thingie used to be called a shrug.. like this one...

The names bolero and shrug are interchangeable nowadays.. so I've learned.
