centimeters to inches??

Can someone please tell me how many inches 43.5 cm is? The other day I asked my son to measure my youngest grandson's head ( I'm making him a hat for Christmas ).

My son called me today and said 43.5. I said "Huh??" At first I thought he meant inches, and I was just about to tell him that he measured wrong, when he said 43.5cm.

I have no idea how many inches this is. I hope someone can help.

43.5 cm = 17.1259 in.

 

if you google "centimeters to inches" several converters come up, you just type in your cm and it gives you the inches.

2.54 cm= 1 inch

 

Divide 43.5/2.54 = number of inches
