Contemplative Crochet: A Hands-On Guide for Interlocking Faith and Craft

By Cindy Crandall-Frazier

Has anyone else read this book?

It is a wonderful book about crochet and how it can be a meditative and spiritual practice, as well as how it is a metaphor for life's challenges and rewards.

It includes 10 patterns for various things including prayer beads and mandalas.

The author is a Quaker and that influence is seen throughout the book but not in an 'in your face' preachy way. I am a Catholic and can relate to much of what the author says.

I think all faiths can read this book and glean something from it.

I ordered it because the premise sounded interesting and the author's other works were favorably reviewed, but there were no reviews for this book online that I could find.

If anyone is looking for an interesting read about our craft, this is it.

It is a paperback so it is about $17. Just thought I'd let you all know about it incase anyone would be interesting.
