Question on Noah's Ark Blanket? Suggestions

Hi,

Many of us have seen the beautiful samples of the Noah's Ark blanket done here by our members (the pattern I am speaking of is the one from Crochet! Magazine). We'll, I have started mine, and it is turning out cute (I am pretty much sticking to pattern colors as I am not that creative). Here is my thought, and I would love suggestions or thoughts. In my mind (as a Christian) the rainbow is the most important part of the story as Noah, yet not found on the blanket. I would like to add it to my version of the patter and here were my thoughts:

I was first thinking of adding it into the wave ripple that continues throughout the blanket (so it would go all the way across the blanket at the top)

 

I was also thinking of making a smaller rainbow to add as a sew on like the other characters.

 

Any suggestions/ thoughts?
