Thread Bears

Hi,

I am going to make a thread bear what size thread should I use? Hook size? Thanks.

Hmm...I guess that depends on how big you want your bear to be!

 

If it's your first, you may want to try a bigger thread, like size 3 or 5 and a larger hook, say 5 or 7. I think a lot of the thread bears seen on ebay, etc. are made with a size 12 hook and size 8 perle cotton. Depending on your pattern, your bear will be roughly 2 1/2 inches high.

i made one last night and used a size 8 hook and size 10 cotton thread, teddy is about 1 1/2 inches tall.
