Angel Crepe

I recently got a decent yarn haul from a lady in my local freecycle. In it were several balls of Angel Crepe. I've never heard of it and was wondering if anyone has used it, heard of it, whatever...and what it's would be comparable to. It was manufactured by Fleisher Yarns Inc and is 71% virgin wool and 29% rayon. There is no gague listed. It's really pretty, but not knowing anything about it, I have no clue what I could use it as a replacement for.

How many yards are in each ball? How much does each ball weigh?

They're 1oz balls. No yardage listed and I just don't have the patience to measure a whole ball...lol!

You know...I pulled up the pic of the hat, and though it's b&w, it looks like it's made with what I have. Except my ball doesn't say Bucilla anywhere. Maybe they bought out Fleisher at some point or something like that? Hmmm...

Okay, I found this site that has vintage yarns. Of course, your's is not listed, but.....email the woman who runs it and ask her. She has tons of Fleishers listed. http://www.vintageknits.com/
