bananahead's baby beanie

I am trying to make this baby hat from ravelry, it was a free pattern.

It is posted by aunty vibegirl.

The thing is it is done on four dpn needles. Is it possible to do this on circular needles.?

When I try it on four dpns, and I have 21 stitches on each needle I always seem to end up short on my counting.

You see it has a beginning ribbing of k2,p2 for two inches.

YOu cast on 84 stitches.

I have considered doing this on three dpns too, still might try that.

Any advice would be welcome. Teapot:think

Sure, you can put it onto regular circular needles. A 16" ones would be best, or a long one if you don't mind using magic loop. You will most likely have to go back to the dpns when you have less stitches, but by then it'll be easier to keep track of.

TeaPot,

Your'e doing great. I too started this hat, but then frogged due to my knitting guage ( It was coming out way too small) You could 'probably start it on 16"......but you will end up going back to dpn's anyway. Use what works best for you. Did you finish the viking hat????
