My Little Bag Pattern

Awhile back I made up this little bag, some of you may remember that post.

 

This morning I decided to work one up & changed the pattern a bit, took some pics & I'm ready to share it with all of you!

 

 

 

 

My Little Bag

 

Materials: Sugar N cream

G hook

Yarn needle

 

Rnd 1: Ch 14, 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, 3 sc in last ch. Working along other side of ch(free loops), sc across to end. Join with a sl st to 1st sc. Ch 1, turn.

 

Rnd 2: Sc around. Join, Ch 1, turn.

 

Rnd 3: Sc around. Join, Ch 2, turn.

 

Rnd 4: Hdc around. Join, Ch 2, turn.

 

Rnd 5-10: Repeat Rnd 4. At end of Rnd 10, Ch 3 & turn.

 

Flap-

 

Row 1: Flap- Skip 1st st, dc across top of bag, skip next to last st, dc in last st. Ch 3 turn.

 

Row 2-3: Rep Rnd 11

 

Row 4: Sc in 1st 2 sts, skip 3 sts, Ch 3, sc in last 2 sts. Ch 1, turn.(creates buttonhole)

 

Row 5: Sc across, make 3 sc in Ch 3 space, sc to end. Do not fasten off.

 

Ch 1, sc down side of flap, sl st across top of bag, sc up the other side of flap. Join to 1st sc, fasten off. Weave in ends

 

To make button:

 

Make a sl knot and leave a long tail.

 

Ch 3, make 8 sc in ring.

 

Ch 1, sc around. finish off.

 

Use yarn tail to sew button to bag.
