Alpaca and Silk Sub

I checked out the Cool Crochet book from the library. I want to make the Francesca poncho but it calls for 16 balls of Blue Sky Alpaca and Silk. Its like 10 bucks a ball!! I just can't do that!! So does any one know of a yarn that will work and look about the same?

Sorry if this is too late, but I wonder if Knit Picks' Andean Silk would be close; it's a blend of alpaca, silk, and merino wool, so not exactly the same. It's a gorgeous yarn, though, and it's around $3 a ball instead of $10

Now that I have my computer back I have been on the knit picks site and I saw that yarn. I am going to look to see if it is a close enough mix! I guess great minds think alike!!
