Very Warm and soft afghan

Tampa Doll

Recommended Posts

I went looking for an easy pattern to make a nice afghan for my SIL. I have been knitting:knit since I was about 9 or 10, so easy was not a priority. I had just pruchased the lighted knitting needles that Clover had on sale, so I wanted to use them, but the patttern I ended up using, needed a bigger size knitting needle.

Anyway, this is the pattern I ended up using it is called the zigzag Afghan. It is very easy to knit, it uses size 15 needles and I used Homespun yarn to make it soft and warm. The colors I used were Heather, Saffron and Earth and the light shade is Cream.

I was not sure if I should put this in Experience or beginner:think. See I am an experienced knitter, but the pattern is easy enogh for a beginner.

Anyway, here it is, on the floor and on a Queen size bed.

Right now DH has this one wrapped around him, and I may not be able to get it back, as he says it is very, very warm.

love it !!

Never thought of doing an afghan in knitting I just started a few months ago, and the largest thing I have attempted is a shawl.

Was there very much seaming? or how was it put together.

sorry says I don't have access to the pattern unless I sign up.
