What is a fridgie?

Ok I guess this is a silly question to ask, but consider please i'm from germany.

Laugh if you want but I have no idea what a fridgie is or what it is used for.

Is it a magnet for the fridge, some kind of pin or other jewlrey? What?

Yes...it is a magnet for the fridge...either functional to hold memos, art work, papers...or it may be just for decoration...or both!

And there are no silly questions here...just a lot of friendly people !!!

A fridgie is anything that has a magnet that sticks to the refrigerator. It can be anything that is small enough to have a magnet glued to it, from buttons to seashells to crocheted items or things made from plastic canvas. The women in my family, except for me, have extensive fridgie collections. If you had no idea of what season we were in, all you would have to do is look at one of their refrigerators and all of your questions would be answered!

Ok now that I know what a fridgie is, i'll actually make a few. I have almost no magnets for my fridge, and i'd preferr selfmade to store bought.
