Subscribing to a thread???

Hi! I don't know if this is the right place to put this, but what happens when you subscribe to a thread? Thank you!

If you subscribe to a thread then you don't have to go searching for it later. You can click on quick links at the top, click on subscribed threads & there they are! I know it saves me a lot of time trying to look for a CAL I'm in or a thread that had a pattern in it that I wanted to print later.

You can also subscribe to get an email whenever that thread gets a post. Like this one, if you subscribe and select 'instant email notification' (or however it's worded), you'll get an email whenever anyone answers it.
