I Love this bag and would like to try to make one. I have not seen the size of the square listed anywhere, does anyone know what size works best. Thanks

The pattern calls for a five or six round square, but I do mine at four rounds and find I like that size bag best. It depends on taste for sure. This is definitely a very versatile pattern in that you can use any square pattern you like and make the squares to suit your taste and needs. Hope that helps.

Check out the CAL Haekelbeutel (Crochet Bag) CAL, Anyone??? . I made one with 6" squares and my bag was HUGE. I used cotton yarn too. The CAL has several ideas for the size of the squares and how many rounds they did to vary the size. Some have made several and can give you more info.

I LOVE this pattern! Took me an hour but I read through all the posts in that link ... thanks Debbi! lol Will be making one or two for Christmas gifts just as soon as I get through this afghan.
